Anti-terrorism training
materials used by the Department of Defense teach that public protests
should be regarded as "low-level terrorism," according to a letter of
complaint sent to the department by the American Civil Liberties Union
of Northern California, reports the Contra Costa Times. Among the multiple-choice
questions included in its Level 1 Anti-terrorism Awareness training
course — an annual training requirement for all DOD personnel that is
fulfilled through Web-based
instruction — the department asks the following: "Which of the
following is an example of low-level terrorist activity?" To answer
correctly, the examinee must select "protests."

"when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
The existence, under Bush II, of specifically designated "free speech zones" (for protesters) should have been enough for We The People to evince the anti-democratic, autocratic design to which Reps and Dems all seem to have sworn their allegiance.
As long as We The People remain asleep at the switch, there is no Constitution. And if We give up Our Constitution, what's protecting (what's left of) our freedoms?
